God Living And Working In Us

It is an incredible thing that the Creator of the Universe wants to live and work in us. When He offered us salvation, He also offered to live and work in us. And He wants to live and work in us all day and every day for the rest of our lives. I trust you understand that when He saves us, He saves from the lack of His indispensable working in us. I pray for those of you who have received Jesus, that you will grow in the knowledge of His amazing work in you and desire more and more of it. If He is going to work in us, He must live in us.

Paul*s prayer in Ephesians 3:17a: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; . . .

Colossians 1:27: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

There must be a moment for each of us when He offers to enter our hearts and when we welcome Him in. When we do that He does His saving work in us. And then there will be countless times when He wants to do more of His work in us and through us. He wants to accomplish enormous amounts of His work in and through us.

Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Isaiah 26:12: LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

He planned the things He wants to work in and through us before He saved us.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

John 7:38: He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Ephesians 5:18: And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Galatians 5:16: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

When we obey Him (walk in the Spirit), the works of God will replace the lusts of our flesh. We will be working with Him instead of against Him. His part of the work is to empower and guide us. Our part of the work is to trust and obey Him. Kind of like a servant working with a master or an employee working with an employer or a child obeying his parent.

1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God*s husbandry, ye are God*s building.
